Ben Cartwright abandons his plans to become governor
of Nevada when a stranger arrives in Virginia City.
The stranger is a police inspector. HIs ultimate goal is
to take Ben Cartwright to New Orleans to face a murder
charge dating twenty years back. Ben believes his
name was cleared.

Ben must surrender to the police inspector when Little
Joe is arrested for murder. Ben returns to New Orleans to
stand trial. Will Ben Cartwright come back alive or does
the police inspector have a hidden motive?

uncooperative but a stranger rides into town who
can help Ben and Adam.
